Chester County Youth Leadership Program

A cornerstone of the Foundation’s work, this program focuses on creating business educational opportunities for Junior and Senior Chester County High School students. Through a series of educational sessions, activities and group participation, students receive first-hand knowledge of local and national issues influencing the world around them.

Volunteer professionals and industry leaders facilitate each full-day session, held once a month from November through May, working with students to improve skills and awareness. Field trips enhance the experience as well as speaker contact information and encouragement to stay in touch.

Companies That Care Awards

Giving back to the community is an admirable thing in the best of times, but it is especially inspiring in challenging times. In Chester County, we are fortunate to have companies that are not only surviving in these tough times but also are continuing their commitment to this community.

The Chester County Foundation is host to an Annual Companies That Care Luncheon. “Companies That Care” awards were established to honor companies in the county who constantly go beyond business to help improve the quality of life for residences and other businesses as well.

Nominations are sought from Chamber members and during a competitive selection process, the Foundation Board chooses three companies to be honored. The categories are large organization (over 100 employees), small organization (under 100 employees) and a non-profit. Organizations need to be successful in their own industry and have a strong community presence.

The luncheon is a wonderful celebration of all these companies do to improve the quality of life in Chester County. It was a privilege honoring them and doing business with them. I hope that they will inspire all of us to do more.

Foundation Auction Gala

Annually the Chester County Chamber Foundation hosts a Spring Auction Gala. This “must attend” event grows in popularity each year. It is a wonderful evening filled with fun, food and friends. Our guests enjoy a mouth-watering menu in addition to exciting auction items. There is something for everyone and something in every price range from raffle tickets to vacation homes and airline tickets. The money raised at this event will fund the programs of the Foundation as well as the Bob Thompson scholarship fund.
