Wegmans to Donate $152,789 and a Truckload of more than 17,000 Pounds of Food to Chester County Food Bank

On Thursday, February 22, 2018, a group of employees from Wegmans Food Markets’ Downingtown and Malvern stores will visit Chester County Food Bank to present a check for $152,789 and deliver a truckload of nearly nine tons of non-perishable food.

When the truck arrives at the Food Bank, Wegmans employees will help unload, sort, and organize 20 pallets of food, including canned soups, vegetables and fruit, peanut butter, canned tuna, cereal and juice. Chester County Food Bank leadership and staff will also be on hand for the check presentation and truck delivery.

Media and the community are welcome and encouraged to attend the 10:00 a.m. check presentation and food donation to be held on February 22, 2018 at the Chester County Food Bank, located at 650 Pennsylvania Drive in Exton.
