Local officials, business leaders and long-tenured hotel staff of Desmond Hotel Malvern will celebrate a momentous event in East Whiteland, as a prominent local business goes global.
With its grand reopening, Desmond Hotel Malvern, a DoubleTree by Hilton marries its homegrown, hometown hospitality with one of the world’s most prominent hotel brands to create meaningful moments that’ll make a new generation of guests feel welcome. The new Desmond Hotel Malvern experience begins with a #SweetWelcome – the signature, warm DoubleTree Cookie– at check in, and just gets sweeter from there.
This new partnership between Desmond Hotel Malvern and DoubleTree by Hilton brings together local hospitality that the hotel’s long been known for and top-rated Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest-loyalty program for Hilton’s 14 distinct hotel brands. Still family owned and operated, the hotel will maintain the same exceptional service and relationships as it has for decades.
“We’ve never been ‘just a hotel,’” said Michael G. Chain, Jr., general manager, Desmond Hotel Malvern, a DoubleTree by Hilton. “We are part of the fabric of this community. Entire generations of families have celebrated their most precious moments with us – birthdays, marriages, retirements, etc. We love these moments and look forward to all those yet to come.”
A large component of Desmond Hotel Malvern’s partnership with DoubleTree by Hilton was a complete renovation and new concept in the dining room, now called Fork and Bottle. Executive Chef Christopher Calhoun has crafted new menus that feature fresh-to-table ingredients, sourced from the finest farms, dairies and seafood purveyors in North America. Chef Chris, working with his network of suppliers, is committed to providing the highest quality seasonally available ingredients and will update the menu regularly to highlight the top products of the season.
The high-quality amenities, amazing service, incredible food and warmth that have always been found at Desmond Hotel Malvern will continue. And now, a fresh take on traditional hospitality and an award-winning guest-loyalty program can be found there, too!
