Broomall Fire Company of Broomall, PA has awarded a contract for construction of its new “state of the art” Firehouse to Pancoast & Clifford Inc., a General Contractor/Construction Management firm based in West Chester, PA. The 22,000 square-foot facility will be built at the northeast corner of

West Chester Pike and Malin Rd. – the site of the former Marple Grade School – and just across Malin Rd. from the current firehouse.

“We are extremely excited to be working with the project team of Pennoni (civil engineer); Bernardon (architect), and Pancoast & Clifford on this new firehouse project,” said Jim Capuzzi, President of Broomall Fire Co. “The new station will make BFC a more responsive and efficient operation, and will allow us to continue to serve the Marple Township community for decades to come.”

The new station has been designed to accommodate modern apparatus and recent advances in

firefighting technology and to improve functionality and response time. It will have improved foot and vehicular traffic flow, additional parking, and improved sight lines on Malin Rd. – all within a more environmentally friendly and efficiently laid out facility and site.

Frank Pancoast, President of Pancoast & Clifford stated: “We are honored to be a member of such a distinguished team in the creation of this important facility to serve the surrounding community.”

Construction is set to begin late spring ‘18 and is expected to be complete early spring ’19.
